Acceptable Use Policy

You may not use Data Scout, or anything you take out of it, to:

• send unsolicited bulk messages where that is unlawful, or without the lawful basis your law requires — including marketing to personal addresses without the consent the law requires;
• disguise the sender, mislead in a subject line, omit an opt-out, or ignore an opt-out or suppression request;
• process special-category data, profile people outside their professional role, or build lists of consumers where that breaks the law;
• make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on a person — employment, credit, housing, insurance — based solely on our results;
• harass, stalk, defame or discriminate against anyone, impersonate anyone, or commit fraud, phishing or account takeover.

• No reselling or redistributing results as a list, database, feed or competing service, or training a model that does.
• No quota evasion — multiple free accounts, shared API keys, scripting the signed-out tier — and no traffic beyond our published rate limits.
• No probing or attacking systems that are not yours, and no circumventing another site’s robots.txt, access controls, CAPTCHA, anti-bot measures or terms through us.
• No reverse engineering, bypassing authentication or metering, uploading malware, or steering our AI features towards unlawful or deceptive output.

We may warn, throttle, suspend or terminate an account in proportion to the breach, and report conduct to the authorities where the law requires it; refunds follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy, without prejudice to a Consumer’s statutory rights.
